Arwen Cranberry Dress by AFahrbach
Arwen Cranberry Dress
After quite a long time it was time for another Arwen Dress. I came across this wonderful stretch velvet at my local fabric dealer and it kind of screamed at me to make this dress.
The dress is true to the lines of Arwens original dress but with a few alterations. As this is a size M I make the neckline a bit less off the shoulder to allow for a bra underneath. I changed the pattern of the trim along the neckline and the biceps, too.

The trim is all made by myself with silver thread on a foundation of dark red satin. I used two designs by urban threads and a build in embroidery stitch of my machine. The neckline was then beaded with glass beads in clear, silver, white frosted and dark red and some silver sequins. The lower part of the neckline got a silver cord finish, the neckline itself is finished by hand with clear crystal glass beads.

The sleeves are decorated with the same glass beads and silver bugles. The trim is finished with two rows of silver gimp and one of bugles and silver glass beads in between.

You can get this dress at etsy www.etsy.com/listing/211967801…
I got more pics of the dress in that listing, too, in case you want a close up of the embroidery parts :)

Highgarden Fashion - my take by AFahrbach
Highgarden Fashion - my take
As great as the fashion in the HBO-series is, I tried to ignore all this and have my own take on the highgarden (Tyrell) fashion.
My version is made of four pieces.
- cloak with back lacing, shoulder pieces and standing color with slitted long sleeves in dark blue jacquard with a rose pattern
- waist chincher of rose embroidered silk in gold with decoration in yellow and gold
- off-shoulder dress in light gold rayon with a flower pattern and lace applique at the neckline, accented with gold sequins and seed beads
- plaited belt in yellow and gold, 4 strands

The whole dress fits a size XS (german 34/36). I would love to have this in a fotoshooting.

I will list this dress for sale on etsy in the next days as well. Just have to figure out a price.

This is not stock. If you want the image as reference for anything, please ask me.

Basically, there's not much to tell about myself. I'm from northern Germany, I got two wonderful cats and work part time as a secretary.
I love fantasy, I do roleplay, I adore beautiful gowns and I earn part of my living by sewing them and making other stuff.
Now, here comes a little advertising: If you want a gown costum-made, don't hesitate to contact me. Or take a look at my website and get inspired. You can buy my gowns at etsy, too: www.etsy.com/shop/Aricia
In case you are a model or photographer and want to make pictures with my gowns, please contact me, too. We can work something out for sure.

I'd like to thank all the wonderful people here for their support. You keep me going when times are hard!
I try to thank your for every :+fav: but sometimes I'm too busy. But they are nevertheless highly appreciated.

Please respect your fellow artists. Don't steal other artists' work!

Now, that was a long time with no upload. I was completly emerged in working (30 hours a week) as a secretary and sewing for costumers. But there's been a few changes:

First of all, since last friday I am married.

Second, I took the plunge and will be fulltime sewing my costumes from July on. Keep your fingers crossed, wish me luck and of course buy my dresses!

Now, on to sewing. And hopefully more pictures now I hopefully have time to take them properly.

You can buy my gowns on Etsy or on dawanda
Or take a look at my website

Great thanks go to kuschelirmel-stock for help with this first css-layout
